Finalists For Bacardi Legacy Cocktail Competition

World of Cruising

Well, if you’re headed out to sea for vacation anytime soon this 2019, then you may be in for a treat.

Bacardi has just done another annual round for their cocktail competition, in which bartender contestants form various cruiselines go up against each other to see who can make a brand-new cocktail for the popular rum corporation.

The competition has observed over 1,200 applications, and as they go into their final rounds, they have only chosen 5. The top cruise ships so far are as follows:

  • Carnival Cruise Line
  • Holland America Line
  • Norwegian Cruise Line
  • P&O Cruises Australia
  • Tallink Silja Line

The finalists will be expected in Puerto Rico next month. There, they will choose who will join 40+ bartenders during the grand finals, which will be held in Amsterdam in May.

Zachary Sulkes, International Key Account Manager Cruise, Bacardi Global Travel Retail, makes this statement:

“A fundamentally important phase of the competition is the measurement of how well the bartenders get behind their creation and demonstrate its potential to become established in the drinks industry as a true classic…. Our five finalists are now busy promoting their recipe direct to guests and sharing it with fellow bartenders in their company so as to get it listed and served across the fleet.”

Since Tallink Silja Line’s Mattias Nilsson is considered the “wild card” of the contestants, we thought it would only be of our best interest to promote their recipe.
