Deputy Drunk and Abusive Towards Florida Woman
A Palm Beach Sheriff’s Deputy did not have the greatest start to a New Year this past week, as he was reportedly drunk, as well as verbally and physically abusive towards a female citizen.
Kevin Baker, who has worked with the police department for over 16 years, was involved in an altercation with a woman named Loren Nillon. The two began their feud at a New Year’s Eve party.
The abuse is said to have started and ended all with Baker, who began the fight by twisting Nillon’s arm as he dragged her to the car at about 3 a.m., which is when they left the party.
Baker, who was sitting in the passenger seat, was also said to have pulled the keys out of the ignition while the car was still in motion with Nillon driving. This was said to have been Baker’s way of requesting that he drive instead of Nillon.
Upon their return home, the two were being recorded for the next part of their altercation, which included Baker pouring a drink all over Nillon and hitting her with the bottle in the face afterwards. Baker then fell to the ground.
Nillon allegedly jumped on his back as Baker continued his verbal abuse, then causing Baker to Bite Nillon on the arm. Police reportedly took Baker into custody shortly after.
Baker has been charged with a felony count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and has been given a $10,000 bond.
The report never stated the nature of the relationship between Baker and Nillon, nor the third party that recorded the fight.
