Chocolate Milk Coming Back To Public Schools

So, remember when Obama was in office and his wonderful First Lady wanted to advocate for the fight against childhood obesity? Remember when some of your favorite lunch items were knocked off the school menu? Some of you may have noticed that chocolate milk was one of them. Now, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), chocolate milk will be making its return to the lunch trays.

The announcement was made last Thursday along with the return of refined grains being served again. The new administration has begun its first cuts on some strict standards introduced and enforced from the Obama administration. During both of Obama’s terms in office, milk was only allowed to have flavor if it was considered fat-free. Now, the USDA under the Trump administration has just begun the transition of overruling from past Obama policies.
