Magnificent Drinks At Atlantic Station of Atlanta, GA…
The Pig and the Pearl
Written by Andre Snorton, Contributing Writer – Cocktail Chronicles
There are some great places and spaces to enjoy a happy hour. Ranging from the prices to the selection and personal preferences, there’s truly something for everybody in the city of Atlanta and the surrounding metro area.
A few days ago, I ventured to Atlantic Station and caught a message board that features $5 drinks for happy hour. Being the financially savvy person that I am, I figured why not give The Pig and the Pearl a try.
And honestly, I’m glad I did.
In fact, they have excellent cocktails for $5 all day regardless if it’s happy hour or not. The three featured drinks on the $5 menu include the Pink Puma, the Georgia Peach, and the Smoke Screen. All three offer something for the palette, including my beverage of choice, the Smoke Screen.
A blend of rum, secret simple, lime, and ginger, it reminds me of a milder version of a Dark and Stormy. It’s a more than workable size for your standard cocktail. It’s within an easy walking distance of the theater, making it an ideal “pre-game” spot before catching a movie with a date or significant other as I am (but, that’s a story for another day).
With other featured cocktails at $8, given the location, it is a reasonable venue to consider at just about any time of the day. Other daily features include $1 oysters (from 4-6pm) and $15 pitchers of mimosas, except for Sundays where the bottomless mimosas are $16. Again, while being there for a limited amount of time, the next time the opportunity presents itself to make a trip to Atlantic Station, the Pig and Pearl is a venue to consider for that light bite, happy hour, or more.
